The Bank of Georgia's Check Card and ATM Card

NOTICES FOR CURRENT CARDHOLDERS, PLEASE CLICK HERE TO REVIEW.

Check Cards - The fast and easy way to pay for purchases and access funds inyour accounts.

The Bank of Georgia offers two card choices for your busy lifestyle. Our Visa Check Card (debit card) gives you a faster, more economical, and convenient way to buy the products and services you need, or withdraw cash from thousands of ATMs. Our ATM only card allows you to withdraw or transfer funds any time of day without coming into the bank. It's like having your own personal teller whenever you need one. (Debit/Point of Sale transactions are not allowed with the ATM only card)

With your Bank of Georgia Visa Check Card, you can pay for purchases at millions of merchant locations worldwide without writing a check, carrying around lots of cash or building up a monthly credit card balance. You can also use it to get cash at ATM locations with the STAR or Cirrus logos.

It's Convenient & Easy to Use
When making a purchase, simply swipe or hand the merchant your Check Card. There's no checkbook to carry. No check to write. No ID to show. No waiting for check approval. You're in and out of the store in no time.

It's Welcome
At any merchant that accepts Visa will accept your Bank of Georgia Check Card - even merchants that don't accept checks. Use it at restaurant, gas stations, clothing and grocery stores - anywhere you see the Visa logo.

It's Safe & Confidential
With your Check Card, you don't have to show ID or other personal information normally revealed on a check, such as your address or phone number. There is also no need to carry around lot of cash.

It's Inexpensive
There are no fees for point-of-sale transactions or ATM transactions made at The Bank of Georgia locations.

Economical and Ecological
Eliminate the need to purchase checks (and the risk of running out of checks when you're at the checkout). With the check card you can save money in check printing fees while it also saves valuable resources.

Safeguarded if lost or stolen
When you receive your ATM Card or Check Card, you'll also be assigned a personal identification number (PIN). This is added security against someone making transactions without your consent. And, as an added safeguard, we provide a cap on your liability if your card is lost or stolen, as well as a daily dollar limit on transactions.

Lost, Stolen, or Compromised Cards
Contact the bank immediately if your Check Card or ATM Card is lost, stolen, or compromised at (770) 631-9488. After hours you may call 1-800-523-4175.

The Bank of Georgia offers Fraud Protection on Check Cards and ATM Cards
The Bank of Georgia places a high priority on protecting you against potential losses from check card fraud. We have partnered with a team of specialists, backed by the latest fraud technology and measures, to fight fraud attempts. If we receive information and believe that your card is at risk, we will monitor your card as a preventative measure to ensure no unauthorized transactions are made. At the same time, we will contact you to validate the transactions and remove the card block if necessary. While this does not happen often, we recognize this can be an inconvenience; however, this process is helpful in protecting your accounts, stopping potential fraud and catching criminals. We advise customers to have a variety of payment methods available to ensure daily activities are not interrupted, even temporarily. Thank you for your understanding as we strive to provide the safest and most secure banking possible.

The Bank of Georgia's ATM Only cards give you a convenient way to get cash, make deposits and check account balances. ATMs make cash available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and you can use ATMs that are located at Bank of Georgia locations as well as those at other banks, grocery and drug stores, office buildings, and street corners across the United States and worldwide.

2. TRAVELING OR PLANNING A VACATION SOON? IF YOU WILL BE USING YOUR CHECK CARD DURING YOUR TRAVELS PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT NOTICE!!
Check card fraud is prevalent and The Bank of Georgia is doing what it takes to protect you from the hassles of becoming a victim. Please remember when using your check card for more than $500 on a single transaction, you must choose “Debit” as the type of transaction and use your Personal Identification Number (PIN).   Signature based transactions (POS Credit Transactions) above $500.00 are not allowed through our fraud protection program.  We are asking you to inform us when you have travel plans outside your normal usage area. This is a red flag for check card fraud that may trigger our protection program and your ability to use your check card could be limited or even stopped.  If you inform us of your travel plans in advance, we can ensure worry free use of your card during your much anticipated vacation/trip. Contact us at 770.631.9488 or visit this page prior to your vacation for up-to-date information regarding check card usage.

3. Not just during your travels but at any time, being able to contact you is very important and can prevent your card from being blocked when suspected transactions may occur.  Please ensure that your contact information with us is current. It is particularly important for a contact number, such as a cell phone number to be on file, in order for you to be reached at the time of your transaction
